Rs. 60/- (for motor cycle) or Rs. 200/- (for imported motor cycle) or Rs. 200/- (for non-transport LMV) Rs. 300/- (for LCV) Rs. 400/- (for medium goods/passenger vehicle)
Documents Required:
- Application for registration of a motor vehicle (Form 20)
- Sale certificate issued by the manufacturer/seller/department of defense in case of Ex-army vehicle (Form 21)
- Address proof (Ex.: Ration Card, Voter ID, LIC Policy)
- Initial certificate of compliance with pollution standards, safety standards of components and road-worthiness from the manufacturer (Form 22) - issued by the manufacturer along with the vehicle
- Custom’s clearance certificate - for imported vehicles only
- Certificate of fitness (Form 38) – for transport vehicles only
Note: Application should be made within 7 days from the date of delivery excluding the period of transport.

Outcome: Certificate of registration issued by the registering Authority will be in Form 23 / Form 23A (Smart Card).
